Hello guys! I came across this product that I find super cool and innovative and as such it deserves to be shared with a broader audience 🙂
I am talking about the socks invented and sold by Skinners!
Skinners founders are a girl an a guy from Czech Republic and the idea of making this product unraveled under a summer night sky in Norway when the first prototype was conceived and it skyrocketed with the help of almost 10.000 customers on Kickstarter in 2016. The team behind Skinners developed and patented the fusion technology that merges the best features of shoes and socks into one compact product, the idea behind is that this “revolutionary” product is a hybrid between a sock and a shoe and it actually combines the best of both worlds, such as the freedom of a sock and the protection of a shoe to be able to use it for a variety of activities both outdoor and indoor ranging from running to do a yoga class!
The product is already in the market since few years and if you read the customer reviews they are on average quite high, and worth to mention that they are also worn by footballers in Kuwait, and the Boston baseball club Red Sox!
Lastly, I’ll talk about the eco-friendly aspect of this product, which is what actually I care about the most in my blog 🙂 the founders are stating that they don’t use any toxic plasticizer and production waste is minimized below 1% so it seems this production does not contribute to harm the environment!
