Blankens is a sustainable Swedish shoe brand.
This brand was founded in 2014 and has been embarked on since day1 on a journey towards sustainability. Here are their basic principles:
1. The production chain should be in close proximity: in this way they can reduce the negative impact of the shipping production elements and that is why all production is entirely made in the north of Portugal.
2. Sustainability and traceability of materials: all leather comes from Italy and Spain, and the brand is in the process of replacing it with more sustainable materials, such as vegetable tanned leathers, eco-leather and alternative materials made with recycled plastic.
3. Create products that should last by combining good design with good quality.
