Fair Indigo

Fair Indigo is a conscious fashion brand 100% made in Peru.

This brand seems genuinely interested to make a positive change in the fashion industry.

Their journey towards sustainability starts with the use of good quality fibers such asĀ organic Peruvian Pima cotton. For those of you, who like me did not know what actually Pima cotton means, it is a variety of cotton which is significantly softer, stronger, and longer-lasting that other cottons and most surprisingly, at least to me, it represents only 2% of the total cotton produced worldwide!

This cotton used by Fair Indigo is grown on two family farms and harvested with care by hand, you can visit their website if you are curios to know more about the story of these farmers!

Producing good quality garments for sure goes hand in hand with supporting a more sustainable future: if you see things from the end-user perspective it is way better for our pockets to buy fewer long-lasting items rather than keep wasting money on fast fashion pieces that get disposed after just the first time they are worn.

This principle is clearly reflected in their collection: all the garments are very versatile and can be worn in many different occasions.

Worth to mention that Fair Indigo cares about the social environment of its workers and they commit to pay fair living wages to the local staff.
