Bikini made from recycled plastic bottles

Recently I came across this sustainable brand for bikinis, Wolven, committed to produce garments using recycled PET fabrics.Their mission is to Make Sustainability Sexy and to fight fast fashion. I am not going to get into the details of their bikinis collection, you can see clearly by yourself that there is plenty of choices of prints and shapes. In my opinion, what really stands out is their concrete effort to save the planet. This brand, among others, participates into Cancel Plastic which is a movement committed to stopping plastic waste and funding ocean cleanup.

Every sale made, Wolven removes one pound of trash from the ocean and that is truly quantifiable and certified by the Cancel Plastic org (for more info you can visit

I have done my smart purchase, hope you get inspired too! If you liked my post, please follow me on Facebook and Instagram by clicking on the icons below, thanks so much!

There are few realities already operating in the fashion industry that are slowly investing in technologies and processes to make this transformation happen.

Today I am introducing you to this brand, ALKEME ATELIER, specialized in producing bags with sustainable, plant-based textiles. The materials used to create these bags are spanning in a variety of natural fibers such as pineapple, grape, cactus, vegan and bamboo.

As part of their commitment to sustainability, ALKEME ATELIER will plant one tree for each product sold, so let’s have a look at their amazing collection on the e-shop and contribute to save our planet!

Hope you get inspired!

Dress sustainable and colorful!

Hello! If you are looking for a clothing brand with a colorful collection of garments combined with an ethical mission, I suggest you to have a look at Endelea.

Endelea is an ethical fashion brand founded in Milan, Italy, to create clothes and accessories in African wax fabrics with a made in Italy design. The name in Swahili means “go ahead without giving up”, and the mission of the brand is sustainability.

The garments are the result of shared creativity, where the design conceived in the Milan headquarters takes shape on clothes and accessories handmade in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The beauty of this co-shared model is that instead of just buying the fabrics in Tanzania and sew them elsewhere, the knowledge and expertise stays local, so that Tanzanian tailors and dressmakers have job opportunities and the possibility to further develop their skills.

The protagonists of all the collections are the colorful wax fabrics found in local markets.

You’ll have plenty to choose among flounced dresses and skirts, palazzo pants and whimsical tops, with ribbons and drawstrings to adjust necklines and waistline. I really like these garments for their authenticity and colorful vibes, and you can also buy products for home decor like pillow cases and table runners.

It is an ethical brand so it is important to mention that if you buy these products, you also contribute to reinvest portion of revenues in coaching and mentoring fashion students in Tanzania!
